Countdown to hitting the school year with peace and positivity:
10 - at LEAST 10 minutes every morning of quiet time. I've already set up a little area to have my coffee and read, journal, and meditate. This healthy habit is a mindful practice to starting the day in a positive way.
9 - if I hit snooze, I get 9 minutes of extra sleep. It's not worth it. I commit to NOT hitting the snooze.
8 miles round trip from school and back home.
7 hours is how long my travel mug keeps my coffee hot, I pray it's finished well before then.
6 times 6 equals the amount of times I've had some serious anxiety about going back to school this year. This year has been hardest for me to muster up the pep for. I'm working hard to store up joy, to check in often with my "moral booster buddy," to establish and maintain healthy practices, to grow my calm, etc...
5 lunches I'll pack for myself each week, focusing on healthy food, fun snacks, and good fuel for my body and mind.
4:00, by this time I'm typically home from school. I am going to try and go for walks as much as possible to have some moments of peace and nature to wind down from the school day.
3 days of the week I am committing to NOT have a working lunch. I'm being realistic and having a couple days to still work and eat, but, I'm trying to break that habit and get out of the building... go for a walk, eat outside, grab a coffee...
2 sons of mine who I am an example for every day. I hope they can look up to and be proud of the momma they have. I will never tire of standing up for what's right and being a strong woman for them.
1 day at a time. I got this. You got this. We got this.
